  1. Aug 2025 - Present

    Software Engineer

    Access Systems · Kathmandu

    • Promoted after taking ownership of backend architecture, technical leadership and enterprise platform development.
    • Architected an MCP (Model Context Protocol) tool layer letting AI agents orchestrate backend services through strongly typed schemas.
    • Designed and shipped 3+ production Java Spring Boot microservices for multi-tenant enterprise platforms.
    • Led a team of 4-6 Java and Python engineers, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Cut API response times 40%+ through query optimisation, indexing and data-layer refactoring.
    • Implemented JWT authentication and RBAC across distributed microservices for secure multi-tenant data access.
    • Built time-series pipelines on ClickHouse and TimescaleDB to ingest high-volume IoT and sensor data.
    • Managed deployments across QA, UAT, Staging and Production.

    Junior Software Engineer

    • Built and maintained business-critical backend services in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate and MySQL.
    • Developed RESTful APIs, shipped new features and resolved production issues.
    • Wrote efficient SQL, stored procedures and database migrations, and improved schema design.
    • Integrated RabbitMQ and third-party services for asynchronous processing.
    • Worked with Docker, Git and Jenkins to support CI/CD.
    • Contributed to secure authentication using JWT and Spring Security.

    Java Intern

    Access Systems · Lalitpur

    • Built Spring Boot applications with RESTful APIs and MySQL, implementing full CRUD workflows on a layered architecture.
    • Applied the DTO pattern to separate business models from API contracts.
    • Integrated AWS S3 for secure file upload and download.

What the other hours are for

Coffee

The first pour happens before anything else does. Most of the good decisions on that résumé were made somewhere around the second cup.

Riding

Kathmandu traffic is a distributed system with no coordinator. A long ride out of the valley is the closest thing I have to a garbage collector.

Reading

Mostly non-fiction, some fiction to stay human. I read slowly and re-read the good ones - the same way I review code.

Trekking

Nepal makes it easy to be humbled by elevation. Long walks, thin air, no signal - the best debugging environment there is.
